It’s All About the Masks!

I want to highlight the masks today! I have never been a mask girl until the Charcoal Mask came out last year. I have acne prone skin and it has done wonders for that, so when I heard we had 2 new masks coming I couldn’t wait!

First up is the Brightening Collection Mask. Its key ingredients are Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP), which is a form of Vitamin C, Kakadu Plum, and Lime Pearl Extract. MAP is one of the most stable forms of Vitamin C and it is fat-soluble so it is easily absorbed into the skin. MAP has a hydrating effect on the skin and decreases transepidermal water loss. It is also a free radical scavenger that is photoprotective and increases collagen production under laboratory test conditions. Another key ingredient is Kakadu Plum, which is rich in Vitamin C. And, Lime Pearl Extract, which provides gentle exfoliation. Please see my blog post for all of the benefits of Vitamin C (

This mask is perfect for brightening skin, minimizing dark spots and discoloration, and boosts radiance.

This masks key ingredients are Peony Root Extract, Rye Seed Extract, and Konjac Root Extract. Peony Root Extract is native to China and has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. It helps smooth skin, has brightening properties, and helps condition the skin. It also has some anti-inflammatory properties. This mask also includes Rye Seed Extract, which improves skin structure and softens expression lines. Its final key ingredient is Konjac Root Extract, which absorbs water in skin. This will aid in plumping up the cells to make them appear fuller and in turn will help fill in those fine lines and wrinkles.

This mask is perfect for firming and plumping skin while increasing the elasticity. It works to restore skin’s volume and smooths the appearance of fine lines.

This is our beloved Charcoal Mask, same amazing formula, just new packaging! The active ingredients include charcoal powder, salicylic acid, and lactic acid. Charcoal is rich in natural minerals that help balance and purify the skin. It draws out impurities and is great for acne prone skin. The salicylic acid helps with exfoliation to smooth and refine skin. And, lactic acid gently exfoliates and smooths skin surface.

This mask is perfect for absorbing excess oil and minimizing pores. It purifies, detoxes and clarifies complexion and helps calm, refine, and smooth skin.

Apply an even layer to clean skin. Let dry for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use 2-3x/week. The Charcoal Mask can be used as an overnight spot treatment for those pesky blemishes.

I’m someone that loves to stretch my dollar when I can and one thing that I really love about these products is that since there are no fillers a little goes a long ways. One way to minimize how much mask you use each time is to use a flat head foundation brush. Wet it slightly, squeeze a good dollop in your hand and use the brush to apply. It not only helps you use less, it also keeps your hands clean!

If you’re like me you have a few skin issues you need to address. You can mix up your use of masks during the week or use different masks on different parts of your face. For instance, if you deal with black heads/acne on your nose and cheeks you can use the charcoal mask there. And, if you have wrinkles that you are trying to combat you can use the Plumping mask on your forehead and around your mouth. Application can be like a painting party!

You will notice such a difference in your skin with these masks and I hope you enjoy them as much as we do (Elijah might not be too sure)!
