A Few of My Favorite Baby Products

Owlet Smart SockThis is one of my must have recommendations as a mom. It’s a sock that the infant wears while sleeping and it tracks the heart rate and oxygen levels and alerts you to dips out of the normal range. It is an investment, but so worth it for the peace of mind. I wish I had it with Elijah. There were a few false alarms when it rotated a bit or her foot was too cold so I found putting a sock on her foot to gel her foot stay warm and keep it in place helped. It doesn’t take the place of safety precautions, but since Evelyn was a stomach sleeper from the beginning it helped me worry a little less.https://www.amazon.com/Owlet-Baby-Monitor-Infants-Ultimate/dp/B06ZZXYD6S/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=owlet&qid=1576518269&s=baby-products&sr=1-4Baby BottlesComotomo has silicone ones that I love, otherwise we use glass Avent. They are heavier and can break, but easier to heat up. There are also silicone sleeves that can help protect them. Most daycares won't take glass.Comotomo- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010N9C0AA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1Avent Glass- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PF83R0W?colid=366WDHUQ6GF4B&coliid=I19CBJE8ZSOJ9U&ref=br_ADD_TO_CART_title_link&th=1These fit on the Medela Freestyle Pump-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N9X4U7E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1Milk Storage BagsGlass would be the safest option, but it's bulky and takes up a lot of space. These are BPA and BPS free. As far as plastic storage bags, they are the safest I've found.

Breastmilk Storage Bags - 110 Bag Count - BPA and BPS-Free - Nontoxic Marker Included. The opening is a bit tricky and I use a funnel to make sure I don't spill the milk when I'm pouring it in.

Breast PumpWith Elijah I used the Medela pump and it worked ok, but did a lot of research and read that the Spectra pump was better so I gave this a try with Evelyn and would agree! It has a much more gentle suck and love that it's battery operated for easy transport. Another pump I have been eyeing is the willow pump. It's quite pricey, but I love the portability of it and I've heard great things about it! There are special bags that are to be used for it, but now there is a reuseable one.Spectra Pump  https://smile.amazon.com/Spectra-Baby-USA-Electric-Hospital/dp/B00BLBLR1I/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1533917210&sr=8-3&keywords=spectra+pump&dpID=41%252BlUma5j4L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srchWillow Pump http://www.willowpump.comAlso be sure to get yourself a manual breast pump! I have both the Medela one and the Hakaa pump. I love taking the Medela with me if I'm traveling or not sure if I'll need to pump. It's small and I love this one for the ability to have a little more control over the suction frequency and intensity. The Hakaa pump is amazing for catching any milk that is lost during letdown!Diapers- this will take some trial and error as all babies are built differentlyHonest has a autoship feature that is really nice or can be bought easily at Target.Seventh Generation can also be purchased at Target.Huggies Special Delivery is clean and also can be purchased at Target!Earth and Eden - I've found these don't seem to hold as much liquid so they are ok during the day, but not for nighttime.Cloud Island- These are found at Target and work pretty well, but have been a little thin.Andy PandyCloth is another great option, but it's never something I've tackled!Diaper WipesJackson ReeceSeventh Generation- I feel like these can cause a bit of irritation if their bottoms are already irritated a bit.Honest CompanyCloud Island- I like the thickness of these and seem gentle. The price point is great too! Found at Target.CarseatNuna Pipa Lite-https://www.nuna.eu/usa/pipaMy friend is a car seat tech and knows her seats. It can get heavy lugging infant seats around and this one only weighs 5.3lb! It's also free of flame retardants!MattressThis is a great article. I still haven’t gotten a different mattress.https://www.healthychild.com/safe-non-toxic-organic-crib-mattresses/PacifiersWe  used these for Elijah and loved them, but Evelyn never took one.Mam Silicone- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DYOQNKU?colid=366WDHUQ6GF4B&coliid=I3DJ7LQ65DRAXX&ref=br_ADD_TO_CART_title_linkFor this baby I'm going to try the Ryan and Rose ones!ProbioticsJust in case you need/want to give any. We don't give these regularly, but use them if the baby's tummy is a little off/upset.Klaire Labs Ther-biotic-https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PYXMV4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Vitamin DAll babies should get 400IU vitamin d/dayD Drops + K2 (I prefer these as they have K2 added that helps with absorption of the D, one drop has 500IU's)- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038NF8MG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Baby Wraps/carriers I love the Solly Wrap! I’ve had a Moby and K’tan and the Solly blows them out of the water. I think the main difference is the fabric since the design of the Moby and Solly are identical. The other carrier I love is the Ergo. It provides the best support for the baby’s hips as it has them facing you instead of outward. I also bought the Lille baby carrier at Target and used this one more as Evelyn got older. I love that it will also allow the baby to forward face, when age appropriate.Solly Wrap- http://sollybaby.com/Ergo- https://www.amazon.com/Ergobaby-Positions-Award-Winning-Ergonomic-Carrier/dp/B00I6IGF4I/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1496777548&sr=1-1&keywords=ergoPlatesSilicone or bamboo are great optionshttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0108ZO44O?colid=366WDHUQ6GF4B&coliid=I148OR3IJ8NWPU&ref=br_ADD_TO_CART_title_linkAvanchy Bamboo plate and bowl (my favorite! as they suction down)- https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DKUN8XC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Silverwarehttps://www.amazon.com/Kiddobloom-Toddler-Stainless-Utensil-Birthday/dp/B01MYVP8WT/ref=sr_1_2_s_it?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1496777891&sr=1-2&keywords=non-toxic+baby+utensilsBaby ProductsBeautycounter of course! Gentle and simple. This was the first product to switch out with Elijah. I read the back of his Aveeno "natural" wash and was appalled at the ingredients.http://www.beautycounter.com/tarawoodland?goto=kids.htmlDiaper BagWith Elijah I had a Better Life Bag and a Timi Leslie. Both took quite a beating and I decided to go with all leather for Evelyn and treat myself since this will basically be my purse for the next year+. I went with a Stork Sak bag for Evelyn, but bought a Lily Jade Rosie bag on Poshmark for this baby! I'm excited for the backpack option as I need my hands!http://www.lily-jade.com/http://www.storksak.comNursing CoverWith Elijah I used the Bebe at Lait cover and it worked, but I always felt that I was worried about flashing someone out the side and since I would just pull my shirt up skin was exposed. My friend told me about the Milk Snob, which slips over your head and covers you all the way around. I liked it ok with Evelyn, but eventually went back to the Bebe au lait cover.https://milksnob.com/https://www.bebeaulait.com/collections/nursing-covers

A few other items I want to mention!

Dock a tot- We tried this with Evelyn, but she hated it! Haha! So many people love it, though! This baby we are trying the Snuggle Me, he still prefers to sleep on or beside me, but I love the design of this!Mama Roo- again Evelyn hated it so not worth the price for us.

Leachco Podster Sling-Style Infant Lounger- I loved this for moments that I needed to put the baby down to use both hands for something!
