Labs to Request Yearly

This is such a helpful guide to use when seeing your provider. It’s not an all inclusive list and some things may not be applicable. There are also so many more test options depending on an individuals health status and concerns.

You can learn a lot about your health state from these tests. They are easy to run and can be requested from your provider. They should be covered by insurance, but this is always something you want to confirm. You can often order tests like these from Direct Labs, but will not get any help with interpretation which is crucial.⁣

Always keep in mind that there is a difference between normal and optimal values in many of these and I included the thyroid optimal values this time. This is where having a provider go over these values is helpful. And, sorry to break it to you, but a conventional trained provider often isn’t it. ⁣

If you feel something is off, don’t settle for the “everything looks great” response. More digging may be necessary.⁣
