My Favorite Travel Workout Tools
You would think that as a co-owner of a CrossFit gym Lucas and I would track down a CrossFit box every time we travel. The reality is is that we often don't make it into a box as we don't have time or when we get away we like to take a break from the gym. This doesn't mean that I don't like to get a workout in and take the time off. I treat this time as a time to unwind a little, focus on mobility and more body weight movements.I want to share with you some of my go to resources for fitting in a quick workout when I am away from home! So, bookmark this and if you have anything for me to add, send it my way!First, are a few websites I use for ideas for wods. They will have some overlap and some of the wods have you using dumbells or a jump rope. I love traveling with my jump rope as it doesn't weigh much, nor does it take up much room and lets me get some double under practice in. Hint hint for all of you still working on perfecting this evasive movement.

Second, I bought these bands before my trip to California inSeptember and loved having this on hand to get a quick resistance band workout in. The price is incredible, $9.48 from Amazon and there are so manypossibilities. I also found these bands for $13.99 that are supposed to come with a video and ebook you can download. If I were to buy again, I'd probably get the second ones. For these types of workouts I would choose a band that will allow you about 10 repetitions and I'd aim for 3-4 sets of 10 of each movement. You won't want to spend more than 15-20 minutes with the bands. You could even pick 4 movements to do with the bands and then pick a hotel wod to do to get a decent workout in.Once you get the bands you'll need to know what to do with them so I'll include a video that has some great ideas!https://youtu.be/fEw8Y7p2xREAlso, here is a handout that you can reference that also has some great ideas. This should give you some great ideas for when you are away from home or even if you need something to do at home if you can't make it to the gym. Enjoy and let me know if you have any questions!
