Easy Homemade Pasta Recipe

Over the past few years I’ve taught myself skills that were left with my grandparents. I wasn’t taught how to bake bread, can, or make things from scratch. Some of it came out of necessity as we need to use @sunriseflourmill for Lucas’ gut issues. And, then we fell in love with the flavor and quality of the homemade versions. ⁣

For us healthy eating comes down to controlling the ingredients that are in the items. Using fresh ingredients, teaching the kids these skills, spending time with them, and the pride that comes from knowing we made it. I truly believe in the impact that this entire experience has on our health. ⁣

And, making noodles is really pretty simple. You can use a pizza cutter to cut the noodles but if you have a stand mixer with pasta attachment it makes it a breeze! This version is using a good processor to mix everything which also makes it a breeze!⁣

𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀⁣

• 2 cups all-purpose flour⁣

• 3 large eggs⁣

• ½ teaspoon sea salt⁣

• ½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil⁣

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀⁣

  • In a food processor, add all the ingredients and mix for about 2-3 minutes. Dump out and continue to knead for about 3 more minutes.⁣

  • Dust a large baking sheets with flour and set aside.⁣

  • Divide the dough into four pieces. Gently flatten into an oval disk. Run the dough through the pasta maker three times on level 1.⁣

  • Set the dough piece onto a countertop or work surface. Fold both short ends in to meet in the center, then fold the dough in half to form a rectangle.⁣

  • Run the dough through the pasta roller 3 times on level 2, level 3, and then one time on levels 4, 5, and 6.⁣

  • Lay the pasta sheet onto the floured baking sheet and sprinkle with flour before folding the other half on top. Sprinkle more flour on top of the second half. Every side should be floured so that your final pasta noodles won’t stick together.⁣

  • Repeat with remaining dough.⁣

  • Cut pasta as desired. I used the fettuccine cutter. ⁣

  • Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water for 1 to 2 minutes. I don’t precook if using in lasagna. ⁣

Pasta Cutter Attachment . I bought this pasta attachment since it was more reasonable and had great reviews. I’ve been happy with it so far.
